We met through church and have been good friends for many years. We’ve leaned on each other through many of life’s challenges so working together as a team feels natural! Rooted Cut Flowers was born from our combination of talents. Rooted in family and faith, we are excited to see where our journey goes!
Hi, I’m Amy Luby
I’m a flower designing, baking loving, wife and mama of two. After taking floriculture classes in high school, I knew I wanted to pursue floral design. I got so lucky that at 19 a local florist took a chance on me with no prior experience. I then worked briefly in floral supply wholesale and moved on to design at Artistry Florist and Event Design. I worked there for seven years on magical weddings and events.
Hi, I’m Jen Mitchell
I’m a wife and a mother to four, photographer/graphic artist turned flower farmer. I am a volunteer with the Missouri Department of Conservation and have a great love for all things nature. This love turned me into a gardener, which turned me into a flower sharer! Conservation and growing in a way that gives back to the soil, not just taking from it, is an important factor to how I grow. After learning that 80% of cut flowers are imported from other countries, it lit a fire in me to offer the flower beauty without all that footprint.
